At Bolton Karate Centre we teach the 'Shukokai' style of Karate, the group has been in existence for more than forty years and will accept male and female beginners/students from 8 years of age. There is no upper age limit though from 60 years old the student must get their doctors agreement to them training in Karate. All our instructors hold Black Belt Grades and range from 2nd to 5th Dan. Join us for a fun sing-a-long in Bolton town centre! Our latest singing club starts in September 2023, and we meet fortnightly at the Bolton Central library for an hour of singing well-known songs, old and new! We plan to sing songs by different popular artists including Elvis, ABBA, Status Quo, as well as songs from The Proclaimers, the Beatles and Grease! We are a vibrant amateur theatre company run by members. We put on a programme of seven plays each year, running from Saturday to Saturday generally excluding Sunday and we put on extra nights for charities and parties. Our theatre has two auditoria the Main theatre, a traditional proscenium stage with an auditorium seating 160 and The Forge Theatre a more intimate space seating 60 people. Baton Twirling and Pom Dancing Community Group. Offering dance lessons to children and young people from 2 years of age. We train on a Monday and Wednesday evening (lesson times, depending on age). We enter Local and National Competitions, and also attend lots of local events over the summer in the Bolton area. It is a great chance to meet new people and learn a fantastic unique skill.
