Croft House Nursery gained the grading of Outstanding with Ofsted in 2007, 2011 and 2016. The Owner/Manager is a qualified teacher and has a Masters degree in the Management of Early Years and Early Years Professional Status. She is a former Ofsted inspector. Staff are well qualified and several have qualifications in Early Years management. All staff are either qualified to at least Level 3 or are training towards this. Some staff have or are studying towards an Early Years degree. Three staff have Forest School qualifications and children frequently take part in Forest School sessions in the woodlands on the nursery's doorstep. Being outdoors as much as possible is one of the nursery's main aims. The Nursery is expanding at the end of October 2017 and will be offering the 30 hours entitlement (stretched to cover 50 weeks in the year) to eligible 3 and 4 year olds from September 2017.
