We host a Support session that meets each Tuesday morning at the Carers Resource Centre, which allows carers to meet other carers and learn from each other. We also have a programme of speakers who will explain dementia and the effect it has on both the person living with the disease and the family. Other activities include stress management and relaxation, benefits advice, legal issues and any other topic our members request. During this session, children practise their reading and make a craft around the story they read.These sessions are used to help children improve on their literacy, it encourages creativity through crafts and allows children to learn simple BSL. We encourage children to read and want to provide them with a larger range of reading materials. With the reading reward children are given a book to take home and keep every two weeks.
