Breakdown Bolton is an organisation which is peer- led by artists with lived experience of mental health issues. Breakdown Bolton runs high quality arts projects and often works with stigmatised groups. We are passionate about breaking down the barriers and challenging the stigma that our clients face, both internalised and societal. Breaking Barriers aims to support Disabled children and young people (aged 0-25) and adults with Autism (aged 18+) and their families to challenge and remove barriers to inclusion. BBNW have a strong strategic presence in Bolton and act as parent reps with Bolton Parent Carers Forum and the Bolton Together Consortium. We work closely with other organisations across the borough and widely share information and good practice. Breastfeeding Together are a registered Charity established in 2015 to provide pregnancy, parenting and breastfeeding support. In September 2023 Breastfeeding Together were commissioned by Bolton Council and Bolton Together to provide a breastfeeding peer support service to families in Bolton. We run 5 groups a week, these all last for 1 hour now, not 1.5hrs.
