We are a not for profit charity, specifically providing a service to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the Bolton and Greater Manchester areas.Our services include a weekly meeting by the Darby & Joan club for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and dual sensory loss members, on Tuesday each week, between 11am and 3pm. Tuesday evenings our Sports and Social group meet from 7pm - 11pm. We have a darts and pool team that meet for matches on a regular basis. Bolton Dementia Support is an independent not for profit charity working in Bolton supporting people who are living with dementia and those who care for them. The charity provides two afternoon Memory Cafes’ each week throughout the borough. Memory Cafes run to provide information and support in an informal setting for anyone affected by dementia. We provide work placements with work related educational classes for learning disabled adults, learning at a level that is related to his or her ability with qualified teachers and trained support staff. The project provides learning disabled with work experience and life skills through the selling of donated used goods. Life skills are not always taught directly but often learned indirectly through experience and practice. At the project skills are taught that are relevant to each student. Bolton Mets are a community Rugby League Club formed in Breightmet and in 2020 we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary. Since the clubs formation in 1995, we have operated one open age team with hundreds of players making appearances for the Mets along the way. In 2013 we formed a link with Bolton RUFC meaning we are now based at Bolton Rugby Club in Avenue Street, just off Chorley Old Road.
